Narrative: Genna McClure is currently 21 years old. She has been fly fishing since the age of 3 with her grandfather, Pete Parker. In 1998, Genna and her fly fishing team won a Silver Medal at the World Championship for Fly Fishing held in Wales. They were the only USA team to ever win a medal. She has worked with the ISE shows doing casting demonstrations and works with kids. She also teaches classes to the women and youth in the Rocky Mountain area. Genna caught an IGFA world record on a Daiichi hook, and she says “I use Daiichi hooks on every trip!” She used them to catch some fantastic King Salmon at the Goodnews River Lodge last summer in Alaska. “Thanks Daiichi!” Genna has been featured in Daiichi ads for her fly fishing accomplishments.
